This morning, we visited a private farm in the city of Demopolis, Alabama, that grows Muscadine grapes, Scuppernong grapes and fruit trees. As southerners do, we arose before the sun so we could pick grapes and pears before the high-noon sun would tan our skin. The vines where dripping with dew and gave a very beautiful glisten to the crop. We have already given some of our pickings away to family and friends. We'll make juice, jellies and just plain eat some of our harvest.
